    Healthy Living Grants from the Kansas Health Foundation

    Healthy Living Grants - Initiative Description
    The Kansas Health Foundation’s Healthy Living Grants program uses a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) process to fund organizations to implement evidence-based strategies that promote and support “healthy living” in Kansas, specifically activities that support one or more of the following: a) healthy eating, b) active living, and/or c) tobacco use prevention/cessation.

    The RFP provides information regarding the requirements for the Healthy Living Grants program, including eligibility guidelines, application process and selection criteria. In addition, the RFP document includes several required attachments that applicants are required to submit along with their proposal. The RFP document is available via the following link:

    Potential applicants are strongly encouraged to participate in one of the following webinars:

    Monday, Feb. 10, 2014 (10 a.m. to 11 a.m.)

    Youth empowerment grants for tobacco prevention

    Tobacco Free Kansas Coalition, with funding provided by the Kansas Health Foundation, awards approximately 12 youth empowerment grants each Fall and Spring. Youth groups are to develop tobacco prevention projects and activities to assist youth in rejecting tobacco use by showing the dangers of tobacco use and the marketing efforts tobacco companies use to recruit new customers.  Go to the RESIST website at and click on the "Grants" tab.
